Evidence of Human Origins in the Himalayas

Human origins have always been a hot topic of research in academia, focusing on the controversy between "single African origin" and "multiregional evolution." The evolution from ancient ape to modern humans was a complex process, which required the co-existence of diverse favorable factors.Based on a review of existing research findings, this paper argues that modern humans originated in the Himalayas and presents multi-dimensional evidence from the perspectives of geology, seismology, climatology, archaeology, biology, genetics, and others.The evolution from ape to man may have also existed in regions other than the Himalayas.However, such evolution falls under "invalid origin" due to the lack of essential conditions for evolution, and particularly, the evolutionary process was interrupted by the erosion of frequent Quaternary glaciations.The homo sapiens originating in the Himalayas gradually migrated and settled down across the world several times during the interglacial periods, creating local cultures and colorful civilizations in parallel.The findings of this paper provide new orientations and approaches for the studies of human origins and the development of civilizations.

Ten Characteristics of Ba-Shu Culture in the Global Context

First of all, the article identifies the highlights of the documentary The Romantic Shudao.It adopts a panoramic view of the broad Chinese cultural community and depicts the tangible Shudao(road to the Shu area) and the intangible "Romance" associated with it by combining the oral history and collective memory as perceived by common people.The vivid stories can easily reach a wide audience and can thus help to enhance people's confidence in the ever-prospering local Ba-Shu culture.Secondly, the article explains the ten major characteristics of the Ba-Shu culture by looking at the wonderful ecological landscape, the mystical culture and literature, and the magic spiritual aesthetics of the area in an international and modern context.It also studies the Ba-Shu cultural community and the origins, historical development, and main features of the city clusters within the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and analyzes the historical and practical values of building a cultural corridor connecting Chengdu and Chongqing.

Renaissance of Chinese Culture and Prosperity of the World of Arts

Chinese culture is characterized by the trinity of China: the tradition of Tao, the concept of harmony and unity, and the teaching of the code of ethics.It is also argued that artistic creation should be guided by three rationales: Artists should have a proactive spirit; artists should diligently promote global harmony; among different civilizations, artists should have a strong sense of mission, thinking of human value and dignity as the most important component of our lives.

Overall Planning of Public Power and Expression of Private Rights in Cross-regional Trading of Construction Land Quotas

In China, the trading of construction land quotas has undergone an institutional evolution process characterized by gradual deregulation.In 2021, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) resolved to develop a national cross-regional trading mechanism for construction land quotas.Construction land quotas, which have attributes of both public power and private rights, share certain common grounds with the rights of land development, dumping and carbon emission.To build a national trading market for construction land quotas, it is necessary to make clarifications and innovations in macro-level ideas, meso-level mechanisms, and micro-level designs.

On the Dual Attributes of Charitable Trusts in China

Based on the legal attribute of charitable trusts(CTs), they should be interpreted as organizations.In practice, CTs are not only a type of trust but also a charitable organization with unique dual attributes focusing on public welfare and profitability.Their core function is to achieve the goal of charity by using the trust as a tool, although they have the characteristics of a trust in terms of external representation.The dual attributes of CTs present new challenges in terms of governance mechanisms, which must be different from those of traditional charitable organizations and the general corporate governance mechanisms applied to trust companies.

The Monopoly and Governance of the Platform Economy in the Digital Era

The platform economy has become a new engine and leading force for China's economic development.With the rapid development of super internet platforms, this field has drawn growing attention from attention of anti-monopoly authorities.The technical attributes and business characteristics of the platform economy endow those platforms with a "natural" monopoly advantage, and the quasi-public attributes of the internet platforms require anti-monopoly authorities to bear more monopoly governance responsibilities.This paper analyzes the difficulties in monopoly governance of the platform economy from the perspectives of anti-monopoly legislation, government regulation and global monopoly governance, and proposes several solutions and suggestions to improve the effectiveness of anti-monopoly governance and promote healthy development of the digital economic ecology.The solutions and suggestions include: focusing on building up technology-based regulatory capabilities, accelerating the legislation on data protection of data, and developing an anti-monopoly system based on the principle of giving priority to innovation.

Study on Biogas Development in the Qinba Mountain Area in the Background of Developing Ecological Civilization

Biogas is a clean energy source with high value for the comprehensive development and utilization of the Qinba Mountain area.Promoting biogas in the Qinba Mountain area can effectively solve the energy dilemma in the construction of a new socialist countryside.However, the promotion and usage of biogas are faced with economic, technical, and policy obstacles.The government and farmers of the five provinces and one municipality in the Qinba Mountain area have invested time and resources to build household biogas pools and related supporting facilities.Whether these facilities can continue to play a role or not has become the most important issue faced by these farmers.Based on the inputs and outputs of biogas processes in the Qinba Mountain area, we present an analysis of the factors affecting the construction, maintenance, operations, and utilization of biogas in this area, and put forward relevant suggestions for the healthy and sustainable development of household biogas in the Qinba Mountain area.

Analysis of the Features of the Vernacular Plank Houses of the Qiang Ethnic Group in Southern Songpan County: A Case Study of Xiaoxinggou

The Qiang ethnic group in southern Songpan county lives in vernacular plank houses(VPHs) with an architectural tradition that dates to the period of the ancient Di people.VPHs are now mainly constructed in settlements of ethnic groups such as Baima Tibetans, Amdo Tibetans, and the Qiang people living in Wenxian county, Longnan city of Gansu province, and Maoxian, Lixian, Wenchuan, and Beichuan of Sichuan province respectively.Although VPHs of the Qiang people living in southern Songpan share many similarities with those of adjacent Tibetans in structure, construction, and spatial layout, they feature the Qiang people's unique architectural culture, and reflect a style transition from VPHs in the north to blockhouses in the south.The VPHs, as represented by those in Xiaoxinggou, play a significant role in the diversified architectural culture of this ethnic group.Their unique cultural value is worthy of further exploration and protection.

With the worsening of our environmental problems, eco-criticism has become an important topic in academic circles.As an important source of information regarding the history of Chinese painting, the Xin'an School of Painting has created rich ecological ideas including love for nature, yearnings for rural life, and calls for environmental justice.Influenced by Taoism, many painters followed the slogan "effortless action." They indulged in the beauty of nature and minimized the troubles of real life.Analyzing the ideas reflected in these works can help us understand the creative connotations of the artists and provide helpful suggestions for solving real problems.

Cultural Landscape Analysis of the Huashan Rock Art Area

Huashan Rock Art(HRA) has increasingly drawn nationwide and even worldwide attention as scholars have completed and published multidisciplinary studies of the art, thus promoting a positive impact on the local tourism and economy.Through on-the-spot observations and in-depth interviews with local officials, farmers, and visiting tourists, this paper presents the cultural landscape of the HRA area from the perspectives of "place" and "space," which have been little explored in previous studies of the HRA area.Presently, both the natural and cultural landscape of Huashan have been restructured by the local government and inscribed on the World Heritage List, and the problems of sustainable preservation of the rock art, balancing dynamic development with expanded tourism, and conserving the cultural heritage of the HRA are being addressed.

Informatization and Logical Semantic Deduction of Chinese Nouns and Verbs

Based on comprehensive construction of the linguistic ontology category system, the basic categorical units for nouns and verbs in Chinese can be defined.Furthermore, logic symbols could be applied to jointing of categories and procedure of lexical meaning's calculating, thereby externalizing and formalizing the calculating procedure of lexical meaning.This could contribute to Chinese computational linguistics and international Chinese teaching.
